Membership of The Hills Holroyd Parramatta Migrant Resource Centre is open to organisations, groups and individuals living, working or having a demonstrated interest in the local government areas that the MRC covers i.e.: The Hills, Holroyd and Parramatta.

Membership to The Hills Holroyd Parramatta MRC provides you with a year's subscription to the MRC's quarterly newsletter, invitations to a range of activities, forums or cultural events organised by the MRC throughout the year. Also, being a member of the MRC entitles you to elect and be elected on the Board of Management of the organisation.

MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION

A person is qualified to be a member of the Association of the MRC if:

• The person has been nominated to represent an organisation which has been determined by the members of the Association to be relevant to the aims and objects of the MRC; or
• The person is no less than 18 years of age and lives, works or has a demonstrated interest in the Hills, Holroyd and Parramatta region.

A demonstrated interest shall mean any interest or activity, which holds relevance to the aims and objectives of the MRC.

CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP

The MRC shall recognise three categories of membership. These are:

1. ETHNIC ORGANISATION MEMBERSHIP: (CATEGORY A)
   
   Membership under this category is open to those people who have been nominated to represent organisations which work for the interests of a particular cultural or language community and is active in the Hills, Holroyd and/or Parramatta region.
2. GENERAL ORGANISATION MEMBERSHIP: (CATEGORY B)
   
   Membership under this category is open to those people who have been nominated to represent organisations which have not been set up to meet the exclusive needs of any identified cultural or language community but holds relevance to aims and objects of the MRC.
3. INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP: (CATEGORY C)
   
   Membership under this category is open to those people who are no less than 18 years of age and who live, work or have a demonstrated interest in the Hills, Holroyd and/or Parramatta region.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

A member of the association shall, upon admission, pay the Association an annual subscription fee, the amount of, which will be determined as follows:

• For Members under Categories A and B: An annual subscription fee of $10.00 for funded and $5.00 for unfunded organisations shall be paid.
• For Members under Category C: An annual subscription fee of $5.00 (employed individuals) and $2.00 (Health Care Card holder) shall be paid.

*Provision is made for waiver for an applicant by applying to the Board of Management.
