Settlement Grants Program (SGP)

Humanitarian Youth Project

The Humanitarian Youth Project works with young people aged 12 – 25 years who have come to Australia on refugee or humanitarian visas. The project provides casework, referrals and information sessions with the aim of providing a coordinated approach to service delivery for young people. The project also works in partnership with the community, schools, youth centres and service providers in order to strengthen relationships with young people, build their capacity, and increase their access to information and services. Some of the programs organised by the Humanitarian Youth Worker include: after school activities, homework support programs, workshops on education and employment pathways and life skills sessions.
