The Hills Holroyd Parramatta MRC's Perinatal team works in partnership with relevant health services to provide services and strategies to link CALD families to early intervention and prevention prenatal services and education.

Perinatal period refers to the period of conception to 2 years of age.

The project covers two areas:  Holroyd and Parramatta LGAs.

The perinatal workers:

• Enhance access for CALD families to early intervention and prevention perinatal services and
   education, particularly CALD families with children 0-2 years from small and emerging communities.
• Collaborate with relevant health services to enhance service providers' understanding of specific
   CALD communities cultural sensitivities and the value of traditional tribal and other ethno-specific
   perinatal practice.
