African Generalist Project

The African Generalist Project provides casework, settlement information and referral services, information sessions and support groups for newly arrived entrants from various African communities. The project aims to establish networks, identify and address barriers to accessing services, promote awareness of settlement issues to service providers and facilitate integration of the target group into the wider community. Some of the programs organised by the African Caseworker include: community consultations, cultural orientation/life skills sessions, support groups, community education projects (health, driving, family harmony), and cross-cultural excursions.
